Mini Weaving Workshop with Skillpop
In this two-hour workshop, you'll learn the fundamentals of weaving on a locally made mini loom. We'll cover how to warp a loom, three basic weaving techniques, and weave samplers to practice. You'll design your own mini woven art piece (with help!) and leave with your sampler, your design, a 4x6" matboard for framing your art, and a 4-pack of mini looms to keep weaving at home. All materials provided, no experience required.

Who Should Take This Class?
Complete beginners welcome, no weaving experience required. If you're curious, you're qualified.

Maker Moves Lunch and Learn with BaconAstro and Touch Grass Textiles
Two ex-techies walked away from their screens and into their crafts. Now they're building real businesses: a needle felting kit line and a line of handwoven textiles and mini loom kits and they're sharing everything they've figured out so far.Allison Dupuis (BaconAstro) and Sharon Brener (Touch Grass Textiles) will walk through what it actually takes to go from hobbyist to maker business:
